Yelp gets $10 million more in funding

Local review site Yelp.com announced tonight that it has taken $10 million in Series B funding from Benchmark Capital. The company received as much as $6 million in a previous round from Bessemer Venture Partners.
Yelp says that they had 1.5 million unique visitors last month, which is pretty good number. At the other hand they face pretty good amount of competitors and we will see who is going to be the winner in this particular niche. And some of the competitors had also landed serious investors... for example Judy’s Book has also raised $8 million from Mobius Venture Capital, Ignition Partners and Ackerley Partners just last year.
