News Corp bought another jobs site

News Corp. bought U.K. jobs Web site...

News Corp. on Monday said it has agreed to buy a U.K. jobs recruitment site for an undisclosed sum to reach a younger audience.

Financial terms of the deal was not disclosed. One source familiar with the deal said News International, the U.K. unit of the company, paid about 20 million pounds ($37.74 million) for the site, Milkround Online.


Launched in 1997, the London-based site targets new students and graduates with job advertisements.

Earlier News Corp has also bought a stake in the SimplyHired, Inc.

Google launches new search site

Google has created a search site without any Google branding to test new features. The site, SearchMash, has a simple blue and white interface with a search bar and an option to click on "popular searches." Once keywords are entered, the results page features links to results running down the left side of the page and the top three image results on the right side.
